The HOPE Fund

We partner with The HOPE Fund to support life changing research for all hepatobiliary and upper gastrointestinal patients.

Originally established in 2018 as The Surgeons Impact Fund, The HOPE Fund was the result of a partnership between Kooyong Group and Melbourne-based hepatic, pancreatic and biliary (HPB) and upper gastrointestinal (UGI) surgeons.

Undergoing major surgery is a significant life event, with the recovery process for HPBUGI cancers physically and mentally demanding. While research into these cancers has led to improvements, there is an ongoing need to improve treatment and outcomes. Our projects look at innovative ways to support patients, such as an exercise program to boost surgery recovery through HIIT Cancer and other projects here.
